It's the war, stupid - Democrats in denial
To hear both Democratic front runners talking, you'd think that there wasn't a war going on. We are not facing powerful enemies intent on our destruction. September 11 never happened, the Twin Towers still grace the New York skyline, we can afford to focus on what may or may not be a mini-recession that may or may not exist next January 20, and similar secondary issues. Both candidates have the same strategy for fighting the war - cut and run. As if the enemy was not going to follow us home!
I recently received in the mail a mini-DVD called Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West. It was quite an eye opener even for me. It goes behind the mainstream media's whitewashing to reveal the extent of Arab and Iranian doublespeak: they say one thing in English and quite another in Arabic and Farsi. They brainwash little children to idolize and emulate suicide bombers. Their fanaticism is unbelievable - but we disbelieve it at our peril. Every American should watch that video and the abridged version should be shown whenever John McCain speaks. He seems to be the only viable candidate who realizes the magnitude of the threat. The Democratic candidates should be followed around by truth squads to keep their audiences focused on the real problem.
I suggest that everybody reading this visit http://www.obsessionthemovie.com/ . Download the 12-minute abridged version of the film for free, then the 60-minute streaming version for $4.95 . You then have the option of purchasing the full version on disc for $10. Show it to your friends and colleagues. It might be the best $15 you ever spent. I can't exaggerate the importance of this film; the survival of our American way of life might well depend on whether we take its message to heart and act on it.

I've always been fascinated by the fact that the Democrats have always been the anti-war party yet they were the party that took the US into WW 2, Korea, and Viet-nam.
For the Democrats, focusing on the war isn't a big issue because they plan to end it and bring the troops home as soon as they take power. Just like Bill Clinton takes no responsibility for 9/11 since it happened a WHOLE 9 MONTHS after he left power, so they will also hope that the jihadis will hold off until a Republican regains the White House so they can blame him for it.
The Democrats won't end the war; they'll just bring it home. It's no accident that we haven't had a 9/11 since 9/11. Bill Clinton prepared the battlefield for Al Qaeda by absorbing hit after hit and doing nothing meaningful in return. Thank Bill Clinton for the mess we're in and thank God for George W. Bush.
As for WW2, Korea and Vietnam, that was another generation and a better one. They understood what all Americans understood since 1776: Freedom isn't free. It requires sacrifice. This generation was raised on TV, computer games and absent parents. We've gone soft, literally (as in FAT) and figuratively. Soft living never did any man or any nation any good!
